Description: As General Manager, it is my pleasure to welcome you and to share a little of our philosophy. It has been my vision to create an experience inside the restaurant to match the fabulous view outside; no small feat, since we are up against Mother Nature at Her finest. The answer was to keep things as uncomplicated as possible. Well-cooked food from fresh ingredients are excellently prepared, simply presented, and well served. The beachfront building is elegant; there are tablecloths, yet it's not stuffy. Clean, bright decor is designed to enhance the view. Most important of all, the staff is talented, knowledgeable, pleasant, and friendly. There are very few truly oceanfront restaurants left in Northeast Florida. We work very hard on all aspects of our business so that you, our customers, can continue to enjoy us and the great location we occupy. Thank you. I am looking forward to the pleasureof meeting you. We visited The Reef on May 16 at about 7pm. Sat out on the deck patio with our little doggie and had a wonderful dinner. Food tasted great---everything we had was delicious. But it is a bit pricey. Dinner for 3 adults (with no liquor--we all drank water--and no dessert) was $100. Good for a special occasion but not somewhere... More

Service and food leave a lot to be desired. We got there early to get seat outside, and the young lady they had seating people kept ignoring us and answering the phone! Then a man walks out, who was clearly the manager or owner, based on his dress, and he ignored us as well! A snooty woman behind us yelled... More

My wife and I took ten of our friends to the Reef. All of us live locally. The waiter was insulting saying to our guests ,"if you would shut up, i wouldn't have to repeat myself" We asked to speak to the manager who told us we should "leave and go someplace else". Many of us had been to the... More

Wonderful food, service and view! Reasonably priced! Lovely restaurant with a great view of the ocean. The fried green tomatoes with sauce were just as good as homemade!

We love the Reef. You must sit outside for the greatest ocean view. The food is good too. The coconut shrimp is great. Our fish dishes were good and the portions were large. We will return.

As reviewed by others, the location on the beach is very nice. Even their parking lot borders the beach. The service was very good. I would say that the dining room was about half-full at the time and was very noisy as there is nothing in the room that absorbs sound. The food was pretty good, but the portions were... More

Super great place. The food was excellent. We all had the fish specials and I can't remember now but I know I tasted the blackend version and the grilled version. Both were outstanding in flavor and freshness. Also had the seafood chowder, it was one of the best I have ever had.

Great dining experience. Service was excellent. The dining is right on the ocean in St Aug. Good bar area while dining tables had plenty of room. Salmon to die for. Jambalya was tremendous. Entertainment on the weekends! A little on the pricy side but worth it!

We went here for dinner last Saturday evening with 4 other friends. I ordered a$26 fish plate off of the menu. The fish was probably 4oz. with some horseradish sauce on top. The fish was overcooked and dry around the edges. It came with an ice cream scoop sized portion of garlic mashed potatoes and what I swear were canned... More

This was our first visit to this restaurant and it did not disappoint. The food was vey good and the service was very accommodating. This restaurant is alone on a beautiful stretch of beach. There is outdoor sitting with a great view. We go to St Augustine very year and this is now on our short list of favorites. We... More
