Really good seafood. Nice location and great service.

Really good seafood. Nice location and great service.
We've visited Skippers many times over the years during drives and rides down route 17 and we've never ever been disappointed. But so far no one has ever ordered a stuffed port chop. Why would they anyway, given all of the fishing boats docked on the river? Oh, they don't like seafood. OK. Well, on our last visit we had...

Just left, The fish was OK though I suspect came from freezer. Shrimp rubbery, Hush puppies hard and dry. Half way through meal fries arrived. Coffee tasteless. Server was excellent. Overpriced for what we received.
How disappointing....intended to have dinner but after ordering the Calamari and Fried Oyster for appetizers, we left. The Calamari was directly out of the freezer... just the gross rings which were over fried and tasteless....and $9.00.. a total rip off... the sauce was marina from a can. The oysters were overly breaded and tough...old? Oh, I don't want to forget...

Great atmosphere and located directly on the water however the food was just OK. My husband got the stuffed pork chop and it was really tough and dry and really flavorless. I got the grilled grouper and salmon patties. The salmon patties were OK but needed something else to go with them like a remoulade sauce or mango chutney however...

What a nice surprise. Traveling through the area we were delighted to find, through a recommendation from the Hampton Inn, this little jewel. Delicious fresh seafood, good service, relaxing casual atmosphere and reasonable prices
We found the best meal of our ten day vacation at Skipper's Fish Camp. The broiled sea scallops were simply succulent and the blackened shrimp were seasoned perfectly. We were glad that the sides weren't huge because the portions of seafood were. Our servers were personable and attentive and the atmosphere was relaxed.
I love this retaurant and oyster bar on the Darien River. One side is the restaurant and the other side is the oyster bar with outside seating. The food is to die for. You must visit Skippers.
We had dinner here and it was your standard seafood/steak restaurant. I ordered a filet which came out cooked/seasoned okay. My date decided on steak as well and ordered a ribeye that he really did not enjoy at all. The server was nice and kept our drinks filled and checked on us regularly. We came at dinner and were still...
