and the Reviewers don't lie!! Great service, excellent food - didn't have the buffet, but it looked very good. Will return.
We've been going there for years. You can't go wrong with any chicken dish and the service is very good by the long time waiters. I like spices but I'm not Indian. They spice things just right for my taste-not so you can't taste anything else but the spice but you know you're eating Indian.
Great decor, good service in a bustling area that offers loads of shops to browse and shop. Terrific menu and excellent tandoori and breads made in house. All the curry is wonderful too. You won't regret this popular stop for a lunch or dinner anytime. Quite tasty and memorable. Certainly takes you away to another land.
When I returned toTiffin,I tried the Saturday lunch buffet. I chose my favorites: saag paneer( the spinach tasted like canned spinach ,though) and tandoori chicken, along with the lamb shank(?),basmati rice and biryani and nan. As usual, it was delicious! This is a family friendly and group friendly place. Try it the buffet if you want to sample typical Indian... More
They had Terrible service. Very greedy folks. We paid a decent tip for buffets even though you are not supposed to pay tips on buffet. They started enforcing 18%. Why??? Its not their right, Its a gratuity. Too pricy fir Devon
I went to Tiffin today for their lunch buffet. The chicken tikka masala was on the bone making it a little more diffucult to eat. tandoori chicken was made from pullet chickens (small) but the flavor was there. The paneer in the saag was very chewy vs the bounce of good fresh cheese. Deserts were good, lamb was tasty and... More
We went to Tiffin for lunch-buffet. Great very inexpensive and family oriented place with great food. We really liked it. Price was under $11 per person with all you can eat. We had some difficulties with understanding food components reading Indian names on food labels, but otherwise it was really great experience. If management would put in English components used... We stopped here while shopping Devon Ave on a Saturday. There was a lunchtime buffet even on the weekend. My wife dislikes spicy food so she ordered a couple appetizers while I went for the buffet. The buffet offered several diverse choices split between meat and vegetarian entrees, but I was surprised to not have rice available-there was a biryani... More
Its a bit of a trek to Devon avenue from downtown, but Tiffin is totally worth it. We have taken our out-of-town visitors there as well and its always been a hit :-) The service could be a little more friendly, but the food makes up for little flaws.
Lots to choose from including large orders of tandoori chicken, brought fresh to your table. Vegetables were delicious and were indian versions of spinach, potato, chick peas, lentil, cauliflower, onion, etc. Service was quick and friendly. Price was under $10 pp. Would definitely return.
