Chicago is a city with wall to wall fantastic restaurants. The Chicago Chop House is great, McCormick and Schmicks is also great but the creme de la creme, capo di capi, head honcho has to be Gibsons. I have never tasted steak like the steak served in Gibsons. It is just wonderful.

Guess alot of people who rave about gibsons have never been to ruth chris. nothing special about the steaks at all. portions were large service good wouldnt go back though....we were visiting and heard this was a must do. again my entire party agreed...nothing special about this place.

Gibson's offers a classic steakhouse and seafood menu with very generous portions. Quality is consistent and service is attentive. Food old fashioned but good. Had the oysters and a wedge salad only, but tasted the meals of the other three friends I dined with. Good, consistent, great service, funny-huge mud pie.

It's really difficult to find anything to say negative about Gibson's. I've been going there for years. Enjoy the lively but usually packed bar while you wait on your table. Then enjoy the dinner! Probably the best steakhouse I've ever had the pleasure of dining at. A wonderful wonderful restaurant with exceptional cuts of meat. Enjoyed eating here immensely. Tried to go again this year, but were fully booked and for good reason. Before I die, I hope to eat here again!
