Didn't have any food here except the chips and salsa but they were very good. The margaritas had a great flavor with plenty of salt around the rim but were a bit pricey.

I live in the area and have been visiting this restaurant for a long time and always enjoy myself. On this visit, there was a 'travelling' guitar player/mexican singer that interacted with the tables. I don't typically see this at the restaurant, maybe because it was a Friday night. Coming in from the icy Chicago (in April...) it was terribly hot. We had a Steak Ranchero and a Combination Su Casa. The atmosphere was nice, the food was not so special, but good. We enjoyed our dinner but I'm not encouraged to go back again, fascinated by one particular course.

Decided to go here after we tried to go to grand lux (3hr wait). Only a 15 minute wait here (should have been a hint). Orders tacos rancheros (not bad) but very bland, soggy jalapeños, no refills on salsa, plastic cups & watered down margaritas. Great atmosphere. Good food. Rather pricey for what it is but then we were in the center of Chicago! Nice decor inside. Very nice wait staff.

We went on a Saturday for lunch, and there was no lunch menu. Prices were about $12 a plate. The food was ok, but not great as far as mexican food goes.
