Amazing! Every dish is a discovery in art and in taste. With every plate came with a new discovery and a new twist. Totally unexpected and totally delicious. I took the reserve wine pearing and it was very good and I was even surprise by their generousity! The service is absolutly spotless, maybe just a bit too distant. The tables... More

There is probably nothing left to say about Chef Grant Achatz or Alinea that has not already been written by a professional reviewer. To say that the service is perfect is an understatement. To say that the food is beautiful is again an understatement. The food is more beautifully prepared and presented than anything I was served in a Zen... More

It was not easy to get a table at this restaurant and booking in advance is a must. I must say from design and creativity, they are top notch. They were 16 course tasting menu. They were all designed well and interesting, really pretty and unexpected. The dessert was the most exciting things, splash of chocolate, helium-filled apple taffy balloon,... More

We had planned this trip for 12 months, flying in from the UK to have hopefully the culinary delights of a life time. We arrived and escorted past our first course hung on bottles Why.? Pre drinks of champagne at the table, followed by our sixteen course tasting menu, great food followed with a couple of exceptions the duck was... More

Alinea was rated one of the greatest restaurants in the world, one of 3? in North America, for its inventive microgastronomy. Four of us finally got a table through its website; with its expert wine tastings, it was at least $400 per person. We were served 14 courses of the most interesting, creative, and delicious food I have ever seen.... More

Great service without being snobby. Awesome dining experience overall. It cost a nortgage payment, but was worth the money :)

Alinea is not cheap, and it's somewhat tricky to get a reservation, but we decided to give it a try, with a few friends. The food can be inventive, the staff is quite helpful and friendly, and the level of attention paid to the presentation is remarkable ... but perhaps over the top. There are courses where the food shines... More

What a great gastronomic experience! The Cirque du Soleil of gastronomy. The service was impeccable, the food beyond all expectations. What a treat, 12+ courses over four hours. The wine/pairings were perfect and should not be missed. This was easily the finest dining experience (and most expensive) of our party of four. This place is just off the charts fun.... More

While it is very expensive, you cannot have a more unique dining experience in Chicago and possibly the US. Each course (~16) is a unique taste and sensory journey. Our favorites were the burnt morels and truffle explosion. The desserts were entertaining but a bit much. The service was exceptional. After our second course, we were asked if we would... More

The ultimate in the dining experience! I've been to several 3 Michelin star restaurants, but this one is like no other. I was worried that because of all the hype and cost, I would be disappointed...I wasn't! The presentations and actual dishes themselves were works of art. The amazing part was that most of the food did live up to... More
