The food was very good and local. A small market based menu with gentle prices. It is always great to have very good food at a BYOB. Loved the apple fritters for dessert. Service was excellent and the staff was very friendly.

We had a very nice evening at Home Bistro, which we found in a deck of "a la card Chicago." Service was excellent. The hostess fit us in at the last minute on a Friday evening, and the server also helped us find vegetarian options. My Vegetable Casserole was different and delicious, a melange of spaetzle and seasonal roasted vegetables,... More

This is just an outstanding restaurant. The staff is friendly and a benchmark for service/hospitality. The menu changes often based on whats fresh and the european spin on the classics is fun and always makes it a pleasure to go for repeated visits...

So, just not really impressed. It's nice that it's BYOB, if your into that kind of thing. The menu to me just wasn't that impressive. Lot's of fish - no real selection in my opinion. The place is VERY small. It was also funny/unprofessional that the bus boy and server were arguing over the lighting - they were playing with... More

Just left ther and had an incredible meal may first BYOB restaurant. No corkage fee. Certainly kept the bill down! Had an wonderful salmon with a quinoa salad on the side. Great service. Small and full of character. Highly recommend reservations. Make it. Stop if you are in the Wrigleyville area.

My friends made reservations for us on my recent trip to Chicago, they had never been either. The choice of restaurants was made based on top-ratings in other sites. Was not disappointed in the least. The menu is not traditional - so could be a challenge for the less adventurous, but there are certainly options for them too! I had... More

One of Chicago's best BYOB restaurants. We've eaten there twice, taken by friends who live nearby. Always full, happy atmosphere. The menu is unusual but not weird unusual. I enjoy eating places that offer preparations which are special, and do not resemble the menus in a typical upper end business restaurant. Home Bistro fits this criteria. No way do i... More

Rushed into Home Bistro (HB) a rainy evening in Chicago. The place was packed, but the owner met us with a nice smile and said not to worry. He would fix this for us. After a short wait, we had a table by the window. The nice staff took good care of us. The menu gave multiple options and the... More

This restaurant is special! It has a very welcoming atmosphere as one might infer from having "home" in its name. The staff made us feel that they had invited us for dinner in their own home. And the food was outstanding. The four of us each ordered a different dish but also tried each others'. We were in agreement that... More
