We had a gift certificate for Niche, and frankly, we were worried. We love good food. But we are not adventurous, urban diners. We are traditionalists. And a perusal of the reviews, coupled with a viewing of the online menu, made us very nervous indeed.
Well, we were pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was warm. The service was very friendly and...

The food is consistently amazing and the service is impeccable. The price is in line for the quality of food and service. It is a fantastic date night restaurant without the kids!
We had some of the best dishes here. Totally surprised us, being from the Chicago dining scene. The veal medallion entree is something you'd eat in heaven. Be sure to positively get the Praline Bar for a chocolate decadence dessert. Wine pours are too small at 1/4 of a glass, however. (Don't fall for the bottle upsell.)

Modern decor, seats around 40 with a few tables in the bar area, Niche delivers service and an interesting, unique cuisine. Intrigued by the Foie...

Niche has been our favorite local dining spot for years. An offspring of 302 West, Niche maintained many of the touches brought to the community by Joel Finley. After Joel's untimely death from cancer, the remaining staff and investors opened Niche. The quality of food and service continued. At Niche, you'll find an impressive array of wines, interesting cocktails like...

I have since seen some negative reviews on this site. However, I don't agree with any of them. We went again this August, and everything was EXCELLENT.
Overpriced tiny food, atmosphere is nice but lacks the warm and inviting feeling everyone want from a restaurant.
It is located in the center of town within easy walking distance of the Herrington Inn & Spa. Great service and nice decor.
Looks like their are some bummer reviews-- but let me tell you, My wife, son and I have been patrons for a long time. Steve and Brian have been great servers. Very attentive--certainly no problem there. Food choices and quality have always been awesome. Maybe you need some adventure, but really- if they made something bad- no one would eat...
