We have been going for years. What a fun place and great food and staff!!! Always right on the money! Peter is always on his game, and the nicest guy, fun and carry on a great tradition, so much talent. From the time you walk in the door you know your at a very special place. Great for family and... I love their food especially the Gypsy Schnitzel.. Just because they have some old WW2 German memorabilia does not mean they are glorifying Nazism.. Get over yourselves.. I actually found it to be interesting along with the Black Forest wood carvings and cuckoo clocks. They have Spaten Optimator on tap, which is my favorite beer especially when it's on tap.... More

Finally checked this one out and was very happy. Interesting decor and good selection of beer. Lots of German sounding food to select from. Had apfel struddel for desert and it was good as well.

Excellent German cuisine with a good variety of German beers on tap. A small place (like eating in someone's home) but DEFINITELY worth the wait for a table. Breads & soups are delicious and portions are generous. We always take home leftovers when we order the sampler platter. Sometimes offers wild game - be sure to order it when available.... More

This a great kitschy place! If you can, choose to sit at a table in the bar area. Frequently on weekends there is a 3-pc band that plays polkas and traditional german music. It's great fun!! The food is absolutely wonderful -- traditional dishes prepared perfectly. I highly recommend it.

Been going to the Bier Stube since it opened in Peotone. Food has always been good and consistent. Giant portions on the Weiner Schnitzel. Glad to see they got rid of Peter who was their one man band who played on weekends. Carl has added more variety to the music. Before you leave do a shot of the Apple Corn... More

5 star all the way and NEVER get rid of Peter! We have always had great servers, the schnitzel is to die for, and the entertain is fun. What more could anyone ask for? As far the decor, we find it charming, but I guess if you are so into the real German culture, you might want to go to... More

What a sad example of German food. It was gross, our family did not find the food very good. The atmosphere is good, but mostly geared for non family customers. We were there for lunch so we did not see the usual (biker) clientele that frequents the place.

Wow. For someone who loves German food and culture, this cannot be beat. I had a great meal with my spatzle and sauage. My wife adds she does not like German food, but felt the Seaford selection was outstanding. Thus, you can get a great steak or seafood if you do not want to go German.

I should tell here right away, I am a German, living over seven years in the U.S. so means, I did adapt myself already to the surrounding and conditions here. I travel for business 250days/year and I see really a lot in this world but this restaurant that called themselves a German restaurant is a shame for everyone born in... More
