We went there for dinner on a Saturday night, and even though when I called and was told there would be a 20 minute wait, when we arrived we were seated immediately. Large selection of German beers available. Menu includes American dishes as well for the not-so daring diners. Very generous servings and food was delicious.

This has become a destination of sorts for the men of Phi Mu Alpha that make the pilgrimage to our National Headquarters. As a fully born Bavarian, I love this place. Great beer, the food was impressive, and the prices for the early bird were reasonable. My only complaint is that it took about an hour for us to be... More

When you walk in you are immediately inundated with the sights of the past in the form of signs in a nicely-worn building and the crowds of people sitting with meals. Bits of conversations fill the air as well as the sounds of hands clasping and warm greetings being exchanged among patrons. The unfortunate thing missing here is the aroma... More

This is an authentic German food restaurant in little Evansville, Indiana and I highly recommend a stop for lunch or dinner if you're in this part of the country. We were visiting Evansville to attend a funeral and decided to try this restaurant. I enjoyed the sampler plate with Saurbraten and local beer. It's located in the older section of... More

Went there on Valentines Day, and it was a good choice. I got the Knackwurst Dinner, a good portion of food. Excellent service, definitely will be going back.

Potato pancakes and mixed sausage appetizers were both very good. Wiener schnitzel as a main was the same. Liked their own amber beer on draft.

If you are not interested in German food or beer, this is not the place for you. Fortunately, I love both. The bar has about 25 international beers on tap, and they also keep another hundred or so in bottles. Can't go wrong with beverage. The menu offers many authentic German specialties, including kraut balls, potato pancakes, viener and schwein... More

Great German food in a community with strong German heritage. The buidling is a converted hardware store so it has lots of locale history. A little on the pricey side but it's a good opition for a local owned eatery if your tired of the chain stores.
