My daughters stopped in for lunch on a day trip to the area. The service was excellent. Food was delicious. (Fried biscuits an apple butter: to die for!) The atmosphere rustic and enjoyable. The bill: YIKES! $42 for an adult lunch, two kids lunches and three drinks. I enjoy thus restaurant, but I will not become aregular due to the... More

Two friends and I stopped by for a late afternoon snack/dessert and the place was nearly empty. In fact we thought it was closed when we walked up. No snacks available, only meals and the dessert menu was limited. Having said that, the pecan pie and coconut pie were delicious.

This quaint building really takes you back to an earlier time. Mostly wood (floor, tables, bar) but nice decorations. The food (homemade) was excellent and the staff was efficient and friendly.

This place costs too much for what you get. The fried chicken and the barbecued ribs were sizable portions, but the ham and the turkey were just a thin piece of meat. They had no variety to the menu. It was supposed to be down home country cooking and they pretty much try to fill you up with fried dough... More

Food was good but rather expensive. We chose to split a 4 piece fried chicken dinner and it was more than enough. I am sure there are others who love the slaw, but we did not. Service was average.

The decor is wonderful and romantic. However, the prices are high and we felt they are not worth it.

Fried biscuits, chicken, apple butter, and friendly service. Who could ask for more. Loved the atmosphere, our server, the food, and of course the couples we were eating with. Make sure to get a table by a window to see the hustle and bustle outside too. A must go to eat place while in Nashville...

The Nashville House was a destination when I was a child. Fried chicken and fried biscuits (with apple butter) and sassafras tea. And it has a Old Country Store as you walk in/out. Sound familiar? It's better! Nashville has been up and down, local crafts and touristy. But the Nashville House has weather them all. If you are down seeing... More

We've been going to Nashville, IN in picturesque Brown County for decades. The place we always eat is The Nashville House restaurant. While still pretty good, the menu is limited. The service is excellent, as always, and the fried biscuits with apple butter are a treat that come with every meal. We used to dislike the slaw, which also comes... More

Had a large family lunch on a Saturday afternoon. The restaurant fits perfectly with the theme and atmosphere of Nashville. Good, very freindly service. Food was good with large portions.
