They offer two shops in one: a grill and a treats shop. Didn't try the grill but loved the cheesecake. Prices are a little high but the staff seemed eager to please.

Not good chocolate. Vini's and Kilwin's is much better. They really don't seem to care about customers.
We just happened upon this restaurant looking for a place for lunch. Loved the decor! Half of it was the restaurant the other half was a candy shop and play area. We were there on St. Patricks day and their special was a reuben sandwich for $6.00. It came with chips (tasted homemade),slaw, and a pickle. They even died the...

The South Bend Chocolate Cafe serves deserts such as giant slices of cheesecake and ice cream and of course lots of chocolate, an assortment of coffees, lunch style food (i.e. sandwiches, soups, salads) They have a candy/card shop connected to the store along with a indoor play area for children. Very nice for kids to play while parents sip on...

Its a popular place around South Bend, their chocolate is certainly delicious, good brownies, fudge etc. Their actual food is only OK, not anything to draw any Michelin Stars. I'm not personally a fan of their coffee etc. Their hot chocolate is very good too, since they use their own chocolate.
I am originally from Ft. Wayne, IN and I'm partil to DeBrand's chocolate, but I decided to give this a try. I got the milk chocolate covered caramels. For the price, I was expecting to be blown away like I am when I get the same at DeBrand's Chocolate. I was disappointed and probably won't go there again.
This is the place to go in downtown SB if you are there for a visit or just want to sample the local fare. The soups at the lunch counter are excellent and you must try the chicken salad. To die for! The chocolate fountain on Fridays is simply sinful as is most of their confections. The locally made wine...

Great atmosphere! There were 2 stoves inside and one outside to warm up with. Awesome selection of sweets. First time I ever saw a chocolate covered Rice Crispy treat!
I grew up visiting the original South Bend Chocolate Company building on Sample St, so I'm not so used to this "new fangled" place down town. That being said it is a well known place to meet people downtown, and often it is one of the few places with decent parking left. The staff is generally friendly and they seem...

Are you KIDDING me with this place? We found this little gem on the tail end of a LOOOOOOOOONG vacation, and it was just what the doctor ordered! Short story, the South Bend candy company has around 10 shops just like these (unbeknownst to be before this original location - thanks yelpers!!!). Right in the middle of South Bend is...
