We had an unbelievable meal here. Started with with drinks in the bar. Bartender Tommy was great. We then moved to our table in the dining room. Service was incredible. The wine suggestion was terrific. Our meals were as good as it gets!! We don't usually order dessert but on the suggestion of two servers we decided to share the... More

I've been coming to Lexington for work for the last 4 years. This is without a doubt the best meal I have had in town. Can't wait to come back Pros: - Great ambiance off the park in a old historic hotel - Great drink and bourbon selection - Creative and incredibly tasty southern cooking. Their take on shrimp and... We decided to have our special get together here based on a recommendation since everyone was coming from out of town. We all have preconceived notions of what a $24pp brunch is supposed to be like, lets face it. We had a look at the menu beforehand so we realized this was not going to be a buffet brunch with... Very good food with beautiful presentations. The staff made it even more enjoyable. We ate there all three nights that we were in Lexington.

My husband and I dined for the first time at Jonathon's on Sunday May 14, and everything was fantastic. We started with with a fabulous Mint Julep and several selections of Pappy Van Winkle bourbon (they have it), which they arranged for us in a sampler at our request, even though it is not usually on the menu. Our waiter... More

I especially loved the quiet, elegant, and historic setting of Jonathan's at Gratz Park. This is a place I would go with out of town guests and on special occasions. The service was friendly and attentive. My dinner was very good and even innovative, although perhaps not outstanding.

So the best part of this meal was the pork fried french fries. They were out of this world albeit not at all healthy. on a vacation it is nice to indulge. We ate here at lunch and the rest of the food was good enough but the selection was poor. I had trouble finding anything to order and ended... More

Food was terrific and an excellent stock of Bourbon -- just made me wonder why we don't have such a stock back home

I live in Lexington, and have been several times, and it never disappoints. This wonderful place has several positives, but my favorite is how the chef uses local ingredients and flavors to create unique dishes. Also, nice specials compliment the quality menu. Last night, we had a great wine special, that was very reasonably priced. This is one of Lexington's... More
