Good food (my lamb was excellent) and extensive wine selection. A neat touch is that you can browse the many racks of wine and make your personal selection to go with your meal, or get one of the staff to help you. Then you only pay the retail price for the bottle + $10, which makes it a lot cheaper... More

We try to visit the new restaurants that open in Lafayette, but the quality , consistency and atmosphere of Marcello's constantly brings us back. Marcello's atmosphere is casual with a certain degree of intimacy afforded with the racks of wine placed throughout the restaurant. The food is excellent, I have a hard time ordering anything but the fresh fish of... More

My wife and I went here for a date night. We had a limited amount of time due to the arrangement for the kids...(that will come to play later) The atmosphere was nice and cozy - going for the grotto kind of feel. The food we had was great but we never got to the entree. Our drinks, salads and... More

I don't eat dairy and I specifically asked the waiter to make my pasta primavera without oil and vegan. He then brought it to me and after a few bites I could tell it was dripping in butter. I guess this was the chef's idea of no oil. YUK! Then I proceeded to get very ill that night. I did... More

Marcello's is an Italian restaurant and wine bar, and we fell totally in love with it. We started with the macaroni and cheese appetizer (flavored with truffle butter). Then while my son and I moved on to half orders of the spaghetti and meatballs and the pasta tritone, hubs got the veal marsala. Every single thing we ordered was absolutely... More

Seasoned restaurateur Gene Todaro has the right combination...a great bar, intimate tables or group seatings, updated versions of classic Italian dishes, terrific atmosphere. We wine and dine there often. The Lemon Basil Martini's my top pick.

I thought i had been to all the nicer restaurants in the Lafayette area. Don't know how I missed this one. Felt like I was in Italy. The food was excellent as was the service. I had the veal with eggplant and anchovies and my companion had the veal Marsala. Great selection of wines and great foods. Couldn't ask for... More

A wine market by name the selection of beers available was very impressive to this Englishman. Plenty of the unusual up and coming small breweries were on offer, at very good prices, with numerous foreign beers to tempt you if your pocket stretched a little further. A great place to visit and shop, but give yourself another time to have... More
