Stopped by Jolie's a few days ago for dinner. Lovely room and friendly staff. Unfortunately the food , starter and main, were bland and uninteresting. Will not return.
My wife and I have dined at fine dining restaurants around the world on vacation on cruises and here in our own Cajun country. We also have eaten at Burger King etc., but on as scale of 1 to 10, Jolie's was the worst dining experience EVER!!! We were entertainingg our friends from New Orleans, and decided to go to... More
They were out of 4 different menu items. Each time we (4 people) tried to order appetizer or entrees the waiter would return 10 minutes later to say they were out. The waiter was not apologetic and rolled his eyes when asked what was available. As there was no flounder or tuna we settled for steak and pork chops which... More
More akin to a brasserie than a bistro except they don't brew their own beer and that was unfortunate because they only sold the bottled kind. The atmosphere was lively and the food was good albeit a bit overpriced maybe. The service was friendly and attentive and the 'blue dog' original paintings around the walls gave the place a very... This is a very nice upscale casual restaurant. The food is quite good and reasonably priced. Wine selection a bit limited but overall there are no complaints. The service has always been very good.
Had a great experience. Everything I tasted was excellent. If traveling through again I will return. The waiter suggested the stew and he was spot on.
Excellent food, excellent service, nice atmosphere. Bread outstanding. Limited menu. I'd like to see some more main stream type dishes. Some are a little too exotic for me. My pork chop was great. MUST HAVE - fried green tomatoes!!!
Had lunch here and overall it was a wonderful experience. Jolies has an upscale fell to it, with a wood an marble bar and rod iron spiral staircase. Unlike several negative reviews…our server was excellent, very knowledgeable and helpful. I think like most places if you have a pleasant server and order the right thing you will be happy. The... There was to be a wedding rehearsal dinner downstairs later in the evening, so we were packed off upstairs to what turned out to be a nondescript balcony eating area. For the price, which is hefty, I need more. Service was basic but acceptable. Food was nothing to write home about although, as mentioned, plenty expensive. Can't really find anything... More
We went for an early Mother's Day dinner, and found the experience good but not great. Our waiter had no personality and worse no knowledge of the menu, could not or would not give recommendations, and that did color our opinions I am sure. We asked it the charcuterie plate was enough for 4 people and at $15.00 it should... More
