The food is fresh, hot and tasty authentic Mexican. We have been several times. Even when they are busy and packed, can't complain about the service. Have always had attentive wait staff.

Have been there mant times and it could be great one time then the next it is horrible. Wait times are long once you order and I pefer real mexican food compared to this.

Based on the Trip Advisor reviews, we put the El Tapatio Mexican Restaurant on our itenerary, and it was very good. Seemed very fresh and made to order. My beef tacos were delicious and the burritos looked good as they were being served to others. Would go again if in the Lake Charles area.

El Tapatio is a family-owned, authentic Mexican restaurant. The food and service is excellent. The best Mexican food my family and I have ever eaten. We have been several times and everything we've tried has been terrific. If you're in the Lake Area and hungry for some great Mexican food, you must go to El Tapatio!
