I love this restaurant in a house, yummy breakfast and cozy atmosphere. Great menu and Old Mandeville is fun to go to as well.
Had the shrimp salad. Large plate of salad that was delicious! Don't ask for Thousand Island or Ranch.....they make their own salad dressings from scratch! My two friends also had salads and the portions match the price that is paid for it. Great homey atmosphere in a quant home turned restaurant in Old Mandeville just a couple of blocks from... More
The diversity in the menu allows visitors to sample some of Louisiana's favorites from shrimp and grits in a veal reduction sauce to redfish benedict. Beautifully prepared brunches in a lovely Mandeville cottage within easy walking distance to the lakefront walking paths. Don't miss the opportunity to enjoy a leisurely breakfast, lunch or brunch but don't wait too late as... More
A little pricy for breakfast. The building is an older home and was beautiful. Service was good and the choices on the menu were good. I did get to try a dish I had never heard of before so that was good.
All I can say is if you want a southern breakfast in a fantastic place, you will not find better. You can find anything on the menu and drink bloody mary's and mimosas while looking towards the lake. Very nice experience and by far the coolest breakfast spot I have ever been to.
Had brunch on a Sunday morning with girlfriends. We arrived around 11 and there was already a 45 minute wait. By the time we sat down we were starving, but the food was well worth the wait!! We all had omelets, so the food came kind of quick. I would eat here again in a heartbeat.
This is a small out of the way place that I take my wife to approximately two times a year. It is an old house on the north shore of Lake Ponchatrain that the owners have turned into a breakfast and lunch resturant. The crowds were knee deep on Mothers day, but they were prepared. The wait time was very... More
My husband and I have family in Mandeville and will not miss an opportunity to have breakfast/brunch at The Broken Egg. You will be amazed at the friendliness of the staff and the awesome food! Try the Lemon Ricotta pancakes!!!! I went two days in a row and ordered them both times! Love, love, love the restaurant and the pancakes!... More
Lots of choices at this restaurant. We chose the vegetarian egg white omelette It was stuffed with spinach and mushrooms and topped with Swiss cheese. You can scrape some of the cheese off. It was served with hot potatoes and an English muffin. It was a good choice.
