Initially went here because not much else open on a Sunday night, but so glad we did. Comfortable medium sized restaurant with interesting cocktail list, including one with dandelion and burdock included in the ingredients, my favorite soda when I was a child living in the north east of England. We opted for the chef's choice with the proviso of... More

We have traveled and enjoyed many delicious meals on both coasts and were so happy to enjoy Fromviandoux, a new local place in Camden, as one of our top picks. We chose the personalized menu option ($38/pp). Our waitress listened to our likes and dislikes and discussed it with the chefs who created small plates out of all of our... More

This is a wonderful French restaurant that prepared meals in the French style without blindly copying traditional dishes. I had a lobster soup that had small bits of lobster along with mushrooms. The flavor was intense! I loved it. I went way out of my usual style and ordered a plate of cheeses for the main meal. These came with... More

We stayed in Camden for the first time over Memorial Day weekend and this was one of the highlights of our trip. Earlier in the day we went to Cellardoor Winery in Lincolnville and the chef presented food pairings with wine. It was so delicious that we decided to eat dinner at her restaurant. When you visit the winery, they... More

The food here is very subtle and precious, no overwhelming spices or flavors, I thought it was delicious. The portions are not big but reasonable. The atmosphere is clean and classy but a bit too high class for me which makes me feel uncomfortable. The service was excellent and very friendly. My only complaint was the alcohol pricing was surprisingly... More

Had the great fortune to attend High Tea at Fromviandoux with a group of friends. It was outstanding: the serene atmosphere; the many choices of tea, constantly refreshed; the wonderful scones with homemade marmalade, clotted cream, and lemon curd; the tiny cucumber, egg and lobster savories; the delightful sweets all coupled with unobtrusive, efficient service. Not to be missed.

After a somewhat unfriendly welcome we got seated. It took a while before a server checked in with us. Not sure why because the restaurant was not busy at all. Dinner was ok and reasonable priced. Wine was outrages expensive, we paid $16 for a glass of wine and it was not even a great wine. Would probably not go... More

You would be doing yourself a huge disservice to be in Camden and not eat at this incredible restaurant. I was here 4 months ago for the best tea service ever. So today I had tea and dinner here! Yes, it is that good. Please see my earlier review for a description of the tea. The ambiance of Fromviandoux is... More

Recommended, but disappointing. Welcome was really unfriendly. We didn't make reservations and although the restaurant was completely empty, the hostess was acting like they were sold out. It was 7pm and there were only 3 tables, that pretty much didn't change the rest of the evening. The server was clearly not interested and was hardly able to answer any specific... More

On a recent visit to this restaurant (I had been several months before) I had a visitor from Europe as a guest I had taken. We asked the server if the fish that was the special could be prepared with the sauce "on the side" as my visitor eats very simply. She said it would probably not be a problem... More
