We were looking for a quick meal as we were quite late arriving in Portland and it was getting near closing when we arrived. However the food was still very tasty and the service was great, we definitely didn't feel rushed into finishing up, especially as we were the only diners left.

Service is really valued a lot at Hot Suppa! The staff is friendly. The food is consistently delicious. We had French Toast, which was perfectly cooked and piping hot. The only negative is that 'real' maple syrup is given only if you agree to pay extra. Then what exactly is the 'non real' syrup? Bintliffs also has this maple syrup... More

I ate here today. Was very pleased to see that local and seasonal foods are served here. Especially impressed by the grass feed beef burger. So often restaurants serve beef from CAFOs. Enjoyed asparagus soup and the creamiest mac & cheese ever. Delicious.

On our way to Bar Harbor, we stopped at this cute, cozy place on a whim. It was happy hour, so there was a limited selection of smaller plates. The staff was friendly and the food was great! I would love to return for breakfast or dinner. The mirror in the bathroom on the left has an almost funhouse mirror... More

We have been going to Hot Suppa since they opened and they never disappoint! Great comfort food that tastes like breakfast at home but so much better! I just have to have their eggs Benedict with fried green tomatoes on a regular basis! And I love their falafel. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I feel that they've done... More

We're from Nashville, TN, so we were understandably skeptical of really good traditional "Soul Food" in Maine.....but we were very happily and pleasantly surprised! Food so good, make you wanna smack yo Momma!! Best collard greens I ever put in my mouth!!

We had the chicken and waffles, and spare ribs with cornbread. Food was absolutely delicious. Loved the atmosphere. Didn't feel like we were in Maine! And our waitress was very friendly.

Their food and service is good, but it is a bit small inside so get there early if you don't want to wait. It does have a small counter if you're alone.

We visited here for breakfast and had a great meal. If you have the omelet, keep in mind that their 3 egg is more like 4 egg! Nicely done too - no runny eggs...The "home fries" are really shreadded potatoes, but, tasty....get there early, otherwise, you'll be in a line!
