Every sandwich I've had at this place has been yummilicious! My favorites are the BBQ Pork and the Reuben. Great fries, even better Macaroons. If you're in the area, definitely stop in. Best to call your order in advance as it gets pretty busy around lunchtime. Though they get you out pretty quick, even with lots of people there. Menu... More

My husband was born and raised in New Orleans so he was so excited to try this place out. He loved it. I had the dirty bird sandwich, with sweet potato fries and their sweet ice-tea and their signature pickles. I am wanting more. We have eaten there for lunch and dinner and you walk out full but wanting more.... More

Screeched a U-turn on Forest Avenue for a first visit and it did not disappoint. From Away's praise of the oyster po' boy (Read more: http://www.fromaway.com/reviews/po-boys-and-pickles#ixzz2SNv4ySLM) still fell short of it's perfection. And the pickles were divine.

They have spices in their pickles too. I love pickles, but these were close to the best I have had. People were friendy and food was made in a timely manner.

Po' Boys and Pickles is kind of a fast food type restaurant serving Louisiana style food; unusual for Portland. They mostly have sandwiches (po' boys) including creole sausage, pulled pork, fried oyster and "muffaletta po' boy" and gumbo. I was only there once, had the fried oyster sandwich which was dry and unappealing. My friend had the gumbo which was... More

I think my only gripe with Po Boys is the small building and dining area. That said, this place is great! From sweet potato fries to a menu board full of different sandwich options, you're going to want to keep coming back just to try them all. I washed my Dirty Bird chicken sandwich down with a Thai Iced Tea... More

The skinny - its pretty awesome. Great food, a decent beer selection and the staff is friendly/helpful/quirky. Everything I've had from there has been delicious. For first timers I would suggest The Big Chief with some cajun fries and an Abita Turbo Dog. DO NOT PASS ON THEIR TO-DIE-FOR MACAROONS! Run, don't walk to this fine establishment as soon as... More

I love louisiana cuisine and was looking forward to our first visit to Po'Boys and Pickles. The food did not disappoint. We both had Po'Boys. I had the debris and my wife had the pulled pork. The were large ($11.99) and delicious. Not quite Louisiana good, but damn close. We through in some gravy fries and it made for a... More

I keep looking for authentic oyster poor boy sandwiches, like you get out of those back kitchen windows in parts of New Orleans. This place does an excellent job, tasty oysters, and the right sauce. I'm fond of baguettes, but their bread is okay. My New Orleans friends who live in Bath think it is good too.

Love this place! Huge sandwiches, great sides and can't miss desserts! The atmosphere is blah, but with food like this...who cares!
