Excellent steak, cooked perfectly. Standard steak-house sides. The service was very good, refreshingly efficient, and happily without the snooty attitude of a Ruth's Chris or the equivalent. Go there for the steaks. Enjoy. If you're looking for I'm-trying-to-impress-you prices or some I'm-trying-to-impress-you ambience, then spend the extra $$ and go to a fancier place. This one's about the food!

After several superb meals at Ray's the Steaks, my wife and I decided to try Ray's the Classics, Saturday evening, April 27th. Consistent with our previous meals at the Arlington location, Ray's the Classics serves up not only superior steak and accompaniments but at an incredibly reasonable price. Service is first rate and the meal great from beginning to end.... More

Ray's passes itself off as an upscale dining experience, but the decor, or lack thereof, tells a different story. It is pricey, the servers are snooty, but, I did have the finest fillet Mignon that I've ever tasted at Ray's. I doubt that I'll ever eat a steak anywhere else. I'm completely spoiled! Although, I do wish they'd be a... More

There are lots of burgers to choose from in the DC area but my favorite is in the Bar at Ray's The Classics in Silver Spring. Sit in the Bar area and you can order off either the dining room menu or the bar menu. The meal starts with some very good warm focaccia and spicy nuts, nice while enjoying... More

While visiting in Silver Spring, Rays was recommended. My husband likes a good steak & so does our 7 year old daughter. Not impressed. They try to be upscale, but are not. Our waiter was not very friendly, nor accommodating. We ordered vodka dirty martini's and asked for blue cheese stuffed olives and were told they don't have them. They... More

I had never been to this outlet despite the fact that Ray's Hellburger and the other Ray's steak place in Arlington remain pleasurable and well worth the money. Anyway, it's been on my list for a while and we finally headed over since I had a yen for steak. Firstly, compared to both the other more southerly siblings, this place... More

Delicious scallops, and the seafood bisque is excellent. I thought the steaks were just average. For the price, expected everything to be just a bit better...but everything was delicious and I wouldn't hesitate to go again.

I’ve eaten in the main dining room of this restaurant several times and always enjoyed the steaks, but this was my first time in the bar area. I was eating solo but since it was Friday night and they don’t take reservations, I expected a wait. What I didn’t expect was guidance from the hostess to stand behind a patron... More

Wanted steak that wasn't Outback but didn't need to be Morton's. This is the place. Food: Good to very good. Ceasar salad was yummy, not too much dressing. We ordered the Cowboy cut ribeye which was good but with a bit too much char on the outside. Inside was perfect medium tho. Husband's NY strip was fantastic, perfectly cooked and... More

Live in the area and eat out on a regular basis for business and fun. Ray's was OK for what it offered, but the quality of the food and service has steadily declined over time. Tonight was the last straw. You can do better than this place.
