Stopped by the Pier on Shore Road for a lobster roll for lunch. ended up getting crab and fish cakes too. Was impressed with the warmth and friendliness of the staff. Great place to watch seals play too.

I have never had a lobster roll before and really wanted to try one. Read the reviews about this place and how good they were, so went and checked it out. $20 for a lobster roll seemed pretty crazy but I bit the bullet and bought one. It was excellent I must say. Comes with really good fries and coleslaw....

Worth the trip if you time it for when the fishing boats come in. Sometimes the seals will come up to the pier.

A visit to Chatham is never complete without an early afternoon stop at the Fish Pier to see what the daily catch looks like. On our last visit a scallop boat was tied up and the fishermen were cleaning the scallops on deck. It's always entertaining - for adults and kids!
Let me preface this by saying I grew up in New England & have eaten chowder & seafood all over the world. This is hands down the B E S T chowder and lobster roll I have ever had. Ever.
The lobster roll wasn't cheap but man it was chock - a -block full of sweet fresh lobster meat. Only a tiny amount of mayo was added. There were no other fillers to hide the prize meat. Order this if you want a true New England Lobster roll done right.
Lots of places state this but in our humble opinion this is the place for our favorite chowder, and I grew up on Howard Johnson's version. The pier was great for seal watching, too!
Although we were expecting excessively high prices based on comments in various reviews and the Chatham location, we went anyway as we were staying nearby. Pleasantly surprised that the lobsters, while no bargain, were the same price and even $1 less per pound than at other fish markets we'd visited. Still, at $9.99 lb during a Maine lobster glut situation...

Their lobster rolls and the clam chowder are so fresh and really delicious. There is no possibility to sit inside but they have a few seats outside. We highly recommend this place.
