The first thing my wife said to me when we started walking down Commercial Street is that I have to try the Malasadas and am I glad she did. Truly just pure, amazing freshly baked and full of flavor. I wish the Portuguese Bakery in my home town made them nearly as good. When you are in Ptown, make sure... More

Nothing like a hot fresh malasada to hold and eat while walking down Commercial St. I don't think it lasted two blocks! They're made fresh right in the front of the store next to the counter. Delicious malasadas...I could go for one or ten right now.

They have a lot of other things too which all look wonderful but the only thing I had eyes for were the Malasadas. After being introduced to them in Hawaii, I couldn't believe my luck at finding a place that makes these wonderful Portuguese donuts in PTown. You can watch them making them through the window - best when they... More

That's me in the picture! I'm a sucker for authentic Portuguese food, and the Bakery has definitely got it. Lots of great-looking pastries, both sweet and savory, and they tasted and smelled as good as they looked. We found this place right after a large lunch, and I still managed to jam several goodies into myself. That's why I looked... More

Best bakery in the center of town! Every possible tasty Portuguese pastry and dessert you can imagine. The fried dough made in the window is to die for! A great place for a night time treat at night while walking around town. This is the place after dinner to enjoy a very tasty treat!

I am not lying when I say this. Fried dough from your average county fair has got NOTHING on this. My great Uncle introduced me to it years ago. After running the Ragar Relay, I sent all of my teammates in and they all said I was right. Best fried dough ever.

Not necessarily because it is so good, but because it is a true hold over from Ptowns real historical past. Local food, local people. Stop in for some delicious bread or treats!

I've been going to the Portuguese Bakery for years. There are of course the amazing pastries and other treats (try the Malasadas!) But I love this place for a casual breakfast. My favorite is a breakfast sandwich with two eggs, ham and cheese on a Portuguese roll. Pair that with a bottle of chocolate milk and you've got your ultimate... More

My husband and I had a hard time finding a place open for breakfast, as it was off-season. The first two places we tried were closed. We were lucky enough to find this place, which is a primarily a bakery with a few small booths. We both had French toast, which was cooked to order, with a side of sausage.... More
