LOVED LOVED LOVED these pastries! Such a selection from Spanikopita and other savory goodies to fruit and chocolate pastries. I looked forward to going to the pastry shop every morning for a hot chocolate and a pastry before going to my meetings.

We stopped at Astoria after a Tigers game, to pick up a few items to take back to our hotel. It's a tiny shop and pastry cases take up most of the space, with a few tables and chairs. The cases are filled with all sorts of delicious looking pastries making it hard to choose just a few! We bought... More

Display cases lined with delicious pastries. We went there 2 mornings. Coffee is so so, but the pastries were heavenly. Baklava, raspberry almond bar, ham and cheese croissant and the chocolate muffins were wonderful! Staff wa friendly and welcoming!

The beautiful cases of pastries would temp anyone! It was so hard to choose. We choose an assortment of tarts, brownies, cookies, and desserts. After driving home an hour and enjoying them we were ready to get in the car and buy more!!

Have visited many times. Have enjoyed something new each time and have not once been disappointed. Two Thumbs up! A must stop while in Greektown.

My sweet tooth lead me here before a Red Wings game. Everything looked amazing. My only regret was that we had just pigged out at Slow's before stopping in here. I still managed to have a chocolate cookie though. It was very tasty. Will definitely be stopping by next time we are in town.

I was so excited to try Astoria, especially after the rave reviews I read. I stopped in and bought some eclairs to take home (took me a while to realize they were eclairs since they were more round than normal eclairs). They were edible but the pastry itself was not well executed or just plain old and more like a... More

Just our opinion, but believe this to be one of the best bakeries we have ever visited. Everything we tasted was fantastic. When we visit Rome, Italy my husband heads for a certain bakery there to buy cannoli - well he said this is a real contender for his number one favorite. We also tried the baklava, the shell cookies,... More

Amazing, hands-down the most amazing bakery and pastry shiop I've been to. From the chocolate covered strawberrys to the amazing baclava and chocolate cakes. Plus ice cream and other items and drinks. Really neat place, but very very busy. The cakes, pastries and other items are soooo worth it.

I could have spend much more money in this place, and walked out in a sugar coma :) Greektown is awesome and the hordes of people are a good indicator that this place rocks. Fast service and an amazing array of treats to either eat there or take with you make this a great choice.
