The Chop House is a definite if you're in Grand Rapids, Ann Arbor, etc. Was here in March 2013 and it was incredibly good and interesting. Some of the best wine I've had and a tremendous steak. Service is impeccable every time without feeling stuffy. You have fun when you eat here. One of my colleagues had venison and said... More

Had the pleasure of eating here. Very upscale; nice decor; excellent menu choices. One unique thing is the menu - it's on pads. After reading the menu you can get more info by selecting an item - a page comes up showing a picture and describing it - very cool. With wines - the page describes the wine - the... More

Great selection of appetizers, sides, entrees and desserts to choose from; quality dishes; breads and desserts made on site. Really enjoyed our meal. Only thing lacking was the restaurant looked "tired" and in need of an overhaul. Needs fresh paint, carpet and wall covering otherwise I did enjoy the overall experience.

This is a very high priced restaurant and very good food. But it also feels a little stuffy, which just isn't my style. If you like formality and high end service and food this might be the right place for you.

Used Trip Advisor prior to a business trip to Grand Rapids Michigan and the Chop House was listed as the No. 1 restaurant in town. Made reservations and was looking very forward to my dinner. Well, the meeting ran late and despite a blizzard, we went anyway. OMG! Very few locals weathered the storm, but this place was well worth... More

My husband and I went here for our anniversary, and they do have deals for a birthday dinner. The prices are what you should expect for a chop house. The food is excellent, and you do get what you pay for. You just have to be prepared to walk out of there for about $50 per person...easily. It can be... More

Service is impeccable. Portions are gracious and the food is 5 star all the way. Nice wine menu and bar service. Ambiance is the best in Grand Rapids, Better value than Ruth's Chris and far more relaxing experience

We go about once or twice a year for a treat and it is always exceptional. The steaks are always perfect and my wife usually gets seafood and says the same. Great wine selection and the service is what one would expect. If you like cigars make sure you finish up downstairs where you can also have an after dinner... More

This was our 2nd time to the Chop House - Grand Rapids, but it won't be our last. The Chop House is one of those "special occasion" types of places. The prices are on the higher side, but both the food and service are exceptional. I had made our reservation through Open Table (www.opentable.com) and added a note that we... More

This was our second trip and again we were delighted with everything about this upscale restaurant. The lobster bisque is not just good, it's the best. Not only is the food fantastic but the atmosphere is warm and friendly. The new digital menus are a nice touch because they answer so many questions about the items including pics and ingredients....
