My boyfriend and I ventured to this tapas restaurant after seeing several good reviews on trip advisor. We loved being able to share different plates and were pleased with our selections. Our favorite was the assorted ham and cheese plate...it also has great fruit spreads, nuts, and fun goodies. Our server was attentive and checked in often. The food runner... More

San Chez also has a smaller cafe adjacent to the Bistro that is a great place for a business lunch since it's not as much of a tapas as the main restaurant...so meals are quicker and easier to figure out. The Bistro's great, but sometimes that's just not what you're looking for -- if you know what I mean. I... More

I had the Steak and tortellini and the tortellini's were burnt to the bottom of the skillet it was served in. Seemed like it was sitting in the oven for too long or underneath the hot lamp. The sauce it was served in was good but i could have used more of it. I would go back for the sangria... More

I have been dining in this restaurant since it opened in the 90's it wasn't until early 2000's that I realized how lucky Grand Rapids is to have a restaurant with such an incredible global menu. It was the first place I ever had a Pork Tenderloin salad! There are too many choices to mention here, all are exceptional. Sometimes... More

Had my Birthday dinner here tonight. Great food they even had a nice Gluten Free menu so my wife can eat there with me! All of the food was very good. The Empenada de Manzana for desert was one of my favorite deserts! May go back just for that from time to time! Love the Spanish food!

This is my daughters favorite eatery. We love this place for lunch or dinner. You can not go wrong and you will not go away hungry! We love to be adventerouswith our ordering as the servings are tapas and each are only one or two bites, usually enough to leave us wanting more! Make sure and leave room for dessert!... More

Exactly what we hoped for: high-quality, Mediterranean cuisine in a hip but comfortable environment. Service was professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. Tapas was reasonably priced and quite good, a good balance of traditional tapas and creative . . . we particularly enjoyed the Manchego cheese. Environment was lively and unique; we sat on the indoor balcony and enjoyed people watching. Definitely... More

A wide selection of interesting tapas choices, each of which was well prepared and presented paired with sangria made a wonderful meal.
