This spot used to be a decent place to go about 10 yrs ago. Now things seem old and dirty. The food was just ok and the prices are the same as some higher end restaurants.
After a long absence, I recently visited the Grand Rapids area and had the opportunity to eat at Arnie's Centerpointe Mall location on a Friday night. The menu is extensive, prices reasonable, service fast, portions large and food tasty. I ordered the Cuban sandwich and received a free cupcake, which was just the right size...not one of those huge cupcakes... More
went to arnies with our son's family. there was 8 of us. the waitress was great, very patient with the kids. the food was good and at a great price point. we just love the piano player. he was very good. this is a place we would go to again.
Arnies is good home made comfort food. Go early, if you want a particular special item. It is crowded early but they will run out of soem foods. That tells you that it is very good. The cupcakes are FANTASTIC...enough said, and included in your meal.
This was a great place with great food and great prices. We were surprised about the cupcakes with each meal as well as the buy one get one free entree. The service and staff was great.
Something on the menu for everyone. Kids love the Mickey Sundae. Most orders come with a complimentary cupcake, can't beat that. Food is always prepared fresh and is consistenly good. Eat there frequently.
I don't know if this Arnie's is related to the one listed on this site on 28th St, SE,-BUT we ate at an Arnie's on 722 Leonard St.NW in Grand Rapids MI, and were very satisfied. It has a bakery, with great desserts. We were surprised to receive a delicious free pastry even before ordering. They also have a regular... More
My parents, and a friend of ours, went to this restaurant, to celebrate two birthdays. It took 15 minutes to get a bowl of soup. When the entrees came, our friend's sandwich had to be done over 4 times. Our friend wanted turkey, cheese, and spinach on her Panini. It came with bacon and tomatoes. She is allergic to tomatoes,... I first noticed the piano player. I can't remember when a restaurant provided live entertainment. She played a variety of music from "What a Wonderful World" to Billy Joel's "Piano Man" to a hymn. She seemed a little hesitant on some of the runs, but having her play was a pleasant experience. I had the Alaskan Whitefish, which was okay.... More
Pleasantly surprised. We had lunch at Arnie's and it was so good we went again for breakfast before heading on to Chicago. Shelby was our server both times. She was a true delight. Homemade cupcakes were included with our meal. Everything is made from scratch and homemade. Thanks for the delicious food.
