Al Vento is one of our favorite restaurants in the Twin Cities, and we were glad to celebrate our anniversary there. The carefully edited menu is ever changing with the seasons in a setting that welcomes hungry neighbors and special occassion guests with equal ease.
We were pleased with the house red wine (served by the glass, 1/2 or whole...

We had reservations. When we arrived there was a couple in front of us, the hostess asked if they had reservations and they stated no they don't She told them she could seat them in about 10 minutes. She asked if we had reservations and my husband said yes. She seemed confused and was going to go look for a...

al Vento is an elegant Italian restaurant in South Minneapolis. I thoroughly enjoyed their ravioli while my wife and daughter feasted on their lasagna and spaghetti, respectively. Their sauces were spiced to perfection and our waiter was perfectly attentive. I have been there before this recent visit and I will return again and again, just make sure this review is...

Very busy on a Saturday evening. Very loud and menu seemed rather limited. No accompaniments (salad, soup, etc.) with dinner except for the complimentary bread before the meal.
Other than being extremely LOUD - I did find it very cozy - almost as if you were dining in someone's own large dining room.
The quality of the food was excellent...

Have been to Al Vento a number of times. Food and service is top notch. The flavors are wonderful. Can be very noisy at times to the point of not being able to carry on a conversation. This spot is definitely worth trying.
Went on a special promotion to aid a charity on a Thursday night. We were very pleased with our food, an olive appetizer, beet salad and main courses. I had a delicious Manila clam fetucchini dish (lots and lots of clams in the shell) and my wife enjoyed her ravioli. We arrived early, at five o clock, and when we...

Al Vento is underrated. Great italian food, many different types, and all fresh. Great bruschetta, especially the olive and goat cheese...outstanding. The brunch is also amazing. 12 bucks, bottomless bloodys and amazing selection of food.
Sunday brunch is terrific! Artisinal everything on buffet...house-mad gravlax, and always a house-made sausage of the day - love the lamb sausage. VERY popular, so make reservations! Too many do not - they base quantities on # of reservations. Suggest makeing reservations at least 1.5 hr prior to closing time...some of the specialty items tend to run low - or...

We a had dinner last night, not excellent, but very good and extremely reasonable priced. We shared bruschetta (goat cheese and olive tapenade) and a meat and cheese tray that offered an excellent selection. The best entree of the four was the duck ragu, this was excellent with large chunks of duck. The other three pastas we tried (mussels with...
