at the time I was dating this person and we went to this itailian resturant and have been back every year on our Anniversay since we were married so we were there 20 Years ago and back every year since. Love the food and how original it is.

We've been to Carmelo's many times and have never been disappointed. It's not fancy, definitely a neighborhood place, but the food is authentic and the service is wonderful. Try the brascioletti, you'll be happy you did. And if you are lucky, they will be featuring their butternut squash ravioli

Wonderful small Italian restaurant with very tasty food. The chef is not afraid of herbs and spices and the strip steak I had was delicious and perfectly cooked. The sauce had delicious peppers, tomatoes, and mushrooms and made the dish. My companion opted for a pasta-seafood combo that was heavy with herbs and lots of garlic. The wines are largely... More

We ate here for the first time and were very pleasantly surprised! Seating is pretty crowded, and you kind of need to get friendly with the folks at the next table, but the food is worth the crowding! People line up on the sidewalk in the winter to get a table here! We'll definately be back!

I ordered a vegetarian pasta. We were so close to the couple at the next table that it felt like we were sitting with them. The food was OK but not memorable.

I was concerned about the recent reviews, but I was not disappointed. I took my family here for the second time in six months. Both visits were great. This time I had the Chicken Carmelo (Chicken cutlet topped with crab meat and cheese on a bed of angel hair pasta w/ roasted veggies and a lemon alfredo sauce) OUTSTANDING! Ravioli,... More

I liked the quaintness of it all. But the service and food was awful. It ruined the date. We ended up arguing.

This place used to be nice. Not anymore The food is well below average. We wish it wasn't. Nice people. Nice place. But they need a new chef.

We attended Carmelo's on a Saturday evening expecting something unique, based on the reviews here. What we found was friendly service, overpriced mediocre wines and average cooking. The calamari was under cooked and the crab stuffed mushrooms were cool. My signature dish, Chicken Carmelo, was good with a nice sauce but I expected more crispiness in the crust and more... More

We were driving by on our way to another restaurant and noticed Carmelos was open for weekday lunch. The good reviews I'd read popped into my head and we swung back around the block to check them out. The prices were amazingly reasonable. I ordered the special (tiger shrimp pasta) and my husband had what he always has, plain old... More
