I went lunch with co-workers. The atmosphere, history & food were great. Service was good. A little pricey but worth it. A treat for sure.
Taken to lunch at Scranton's with business associates. First time there. They ordered wings for an appetizer and they were some of the best I have tasted. They are on the spicy side but really good. I would definitely order them again. I had a shrimp salad with spinach and house dressing. Really Good!! Would order it again. Very friendly... More
Scranton's has a very friendly and welcoming environment! Though my food was just ok, it isn't the restaurants' fault. I just didn't get really full and the taste was SoSo. I ordered gumbo. But at the time I was on a special "dr.'s orders" diet. But what my friends ordered looked delicious and smelled good! I do recommend the restaurant!... More
Grilled Shrimp Spinach Salad was one of the evening specials. Spinach, purple onion, tomatoes, mandarin oranges, dried cranberries, coconut flakes, toasted pecans, with grilled shrimp piled on top made a really good salad. The homemade poppy seed dressing tied it together well. Wish they would share the dressing recipe.
We were upstairs for an event. It was quite expensive. Almost $30.00 per person. The food was terrible. The fish was overlooked and dried out. The vegetables were overlooked and mushy. The only good thing was the bread pudding. Also, we had plastic plates and paper napkins. We also served ourselves and cleaned up the tables. I was expecting something... More
We are disappointed to hear that you had a bad experience in Scranton's Upstairs Ballroom. We promote our facility upstairs as being the most affordable option in Pascagoula due to the low rate required for using the ballroom itself. It is located in the old historic fire station and the upstairs facility was considered the civic center of its day... More
The restaurant and staff were nice. Very interesting building. But the food was just okay. I had the fish in a bag...the menu said it was worth the 35 minute wait. It wasn't bad...plenty of yummy vegetables. But not worth 35 minutes.
We are so sorry to hear that our Fish in the Bag Entree was not at the level that we expect it to be when it reaches the customer. I hear great remarks on this item normally which is why it is so highly recommended by our wait staff and menu description. I have passed this information on to my... More
If you're in the Pascagoula area for business or pleasure, be sure to add Scranton's to your itinerary. Pascagoula has very few restaurants that are open in the evening and, of those that are open, so few serve alcohol. Scranton's provided my colleagues and I with delicious food, excellent service, and decent wine. If you're a wine snob, you're not... More
I recently hosted a meal upstairs at scrantons, where they can accommodate around 200 people. The staff did a wonderful job of pulling it off, as everything came together nicely. The setup was just as we asked, and it was very easy to come right in and get going, without any last minute shuffle. It's a long climb upstairs, but... More
Great atmosphere, service was outstanding. With a smile on their face Servers were very attentive. The variety of burgers, steaks and seafood along with the best margarita on the coast makes it our one and only stop every Friday night!
Scranton's is our favorite place to eat in Pascagoula! We visited on the weekend of the Zonta Festival and the restaurant was packed, but a great retreat from our walking around and the not-so-unusual MS heat! Upon entering we were seated quickly and our waiter arrived promptly! We enjoyed the food, service, and rest! We did hear later that they... More
