We have enjoyed some lovely meals at Grand Cru in the past, so I was sorry to see it go so downhill. The meal last night was inexpert from start to finish. The "antipasto" was no better than a supermarket cheese tray; the "crab cakes" were burnt on the outside, uncooked on the inside pancakes with scarce traces of crab;... More

Went for Mother's Day brunch All the food on buffet looked like it was sitting there For sometime. And we were the first seating of the day. Everything was stone cold We mentioned it to management And he said he was having them put some heat on it Not sure what this means But then we kept going up in... More

We went here for a group business dinner. All three of the dishes that we could choose from tasted and looked good. I had the KC strip, which was very tasty. Tiramisu for dessert was wonderful. The only issue was the sun was setting right into our faces in the side room we were in and they had no curtains... More

That title says about all. I won a gift certificate, and that was the only reason I went. The server raved about how the chef prepared a different 'special' bread every day. It was bread. The meal was unexceptional

The restaurant sits back off the road a bit but once inside, worth the turn around. There is a great story associated to their solid oak bar which deserves to be read. A good assortment of local beers on tap and a well-stocked bar. My meal consisted of the filet with potatoes and asparagus - it looked like a snapshot... More

I have eaten at Grand Cru on 3 different occations. One occation was ok. Second time was pretty bad, and third time was outright terrible. I have experienced some of the worst service I have ever encountered in Columbia at this establishment. Once waited 30 minutes for a chicken pasta dish in which they forgot to put any chicken in... Food was fine in taste and appearance. But we were stuck in a back corner and mostly ignored by the waitstaff, who were huddled around a TV. The game, I guess, was more important than pleasing the customers. We are not eager to return. Overrated.

This is a ery fine restaurant. I enjoy lamb and don't always see it on a menu. They do a fine job with all red meat and the fish for surf n turf will surprise you for how good it can be in the midwest. Very nice place, good service....stop by their smoke shop for fine liquor and cigars......one of... More

We went for the Thanksgiving buffet. I was expecting better than Holiday Inn Thanksgiving buffet where we had been many times before. Not the case! The mashed potatoes would have been very good, had they been hot or even war; they were cold within minutes on my plate. The turkey appeared to be a processed turkey roll. The ham was... More
