It almost makes you sad to eat there if you live far away because nothing will ever compare! Absolutely fantastic. Long line, but it goes fast and you get your food pretty fast too!

If you want St. Louis BBQ this is the place to go. They make up the food early in the morning and when it's sold out they close. So don't try to go for a late dinner. This is a very casual place. You make your order at the counter and then find a picnic table in the restaurant and...

What can I say about this place that hasn't already been said, other to reiterate that it is fantastic and delicious?!? You simply MUST experience BBQ when in St. Louis!
I am ashamed to admit this because it is so gluttonous, but my husband and I ordered the Big Ben (this is what the guy on Man vs. Food ordered!)....

So glad that we found this restaurant on TA. Great ribs, pulled pork and brisket. The sweet potato fries and deep fried corn on the cob were fantastic as well! The beans...soso. Even if there is a long line you will still find a table. Will return when in STL again!
Everytime we visited St. Louis we mused about going to Pappy's but did not because the line would be too long. Well now that we have finally gone to Pappy's I do not think there will be another trip without a stop at Pappy's. In fact, my son and husband vow they will never "bother" eating ribs anywhere else. I...

We stopped here for lunch at the recommendation of our tour guide. It was excellent. We had a variety of items: pulled pork, pulled chicken and a rib platter. No one left disappointed. There was no fear of not getting a seat, for the turnover was rather quick -- heed the sign, and wait until you order, and there will...

Fresh cooked and located not to far from downtown. Found this on trip advisor as the 3rd best in the area.
Waited in line for 30 minutes at lunch time but worth every minute. Great atmosphere, wonderful food and excellent value.
I had a pork sandwich which had perfect portion of really good quality meat. The sauces are really special, not too sweet. I'm not a huge fan of sweet potato fries but I loved the ones I got here and...

I was told numerous times by numerous folks that if you have one meal in St. Louis, it should be Pappy's. They were not wrong. But get there early. At 5:15 on a Thursday, we had plenty of dining options. By 5:30, the line was really long. The place closes early, too. I had the platter of two meats -...

This has to be the best BBQ in STL! The pulled pork, and ribs are outstanding. The only negative is the fact that when they run out of food they close! So, if you're going for dinner, and they've been really busy, you might be out of luck. My advice--go for lunch, but be prepared to stand in line.
