Nothing elegant but good home style cooking and decent portion sizes. Friendly owners and service. If you are in the area for breakfast or lunch (have not had dinner here) it's worth the stop.

Needs remodeled, updated, and cleaned. Everything is prefab food. Everyone looks unhappy there. The mashed potatoes come out of a machine and are dried potatoes. yuck.

We had dinner at the Ennis Cafe and found both the food and service to be good My husband had a burger, and I shared his fries. We both agreed they were the best fries we had had in years. I had the trout, which was good if not a bit overloaded with butter. We felt we had a good... More

Don't be fooled by cute exterior. Watery salad dressing with tiny cubes of chicken not slices or pieces in cobb salad. Iceberg lettuce only. Olives, not whole, but in thin slices without any flavor, terrible cheese and little of it. That was a blessing. And this cost $9.75. Wife had the worst Melted cheese sandwich ever for $7;75. NO VALUE Go... More

Having stopped for lunch we decided to get some nice home cooking and ended up very upset. We did nothing but wait for service as the owner stared at us. Sorry but to stop and say "The table with people looking mean to us" made us feel quite uncomfortable. A table of locals who sat at the same time as... More

Stopped in for breakfast. This is a small town cafe and the building is typical for this area. The service was very slow the morning we were there. Some excuse that the day cook did not show up or something. Our breakfast was good and the quanity of food was large.

This is a small town so anyone who is expecting a 5 star dining experience should go back to a big city. Open early, seat yourself, large menu to satisfy the majority of patrons. Staff did their job well. I was unaware of them, drinks were kept full during meal without asking. Food arrived within a normal waiting period and... More

Perfect small town diner. Nothing fancy but good selection of menu items. Kind of like home cooking. This place should be famous for their pies. The bathroom was a little scary but fully functional.

This is a greasy spoon cafe in Ennis that has been for sale forever, and it is: filthy, run-down, unmaintained, nasty, and downright horrible...the food prices are jacked up (in some cases, they raise them as much as 2.00) during tourist season, and BLAH to begin with...the owner wants 495K for a property that needs to be bulldozed, and apparently... If you are in Ennis, stop by and have a piece of this amazing strawberry pie. Homemade, large piece and extremely delicious. Yum. Might as well visit Virginia City because it's only 14 miles away. Then stop back in and enjoy another piece of pie. And around the corner is the Picnic Basket, great coffee and snacks to take on... More
