The Big Dipper has many great flavors they vary from vanilla and bubble gum to green tea and cold smoke ale. They may sound like risky flavors but they are delicious!! My favorite is the cold smoke ale which is also award winning. You can't beat award winning ice cream!

This is a great little ice cream shop near the Hip Strip, in the heart of Missoula. The Licorice ice cream is tasty and also the Heath Candy and Chocolate Peanut Butter---and lots more. Where else can you stand in line and have a great time trying to decide which flavor to taste tonight? Fun place to people watch!

The Big Dipper is one place you cannot resist on a hot summer day. The flavor selection will blow your mind and sometimes makes it hard to decide. You will need to come back every week to sample them all.

What a treat (literally) the Dipper is. Even on a sleepy Tuesday there was a line! The help is gracious, offering as many samples as you like. When my husband spilled most of his swirl (his fault), it was replaced immediately. We heard they have a "frequent flyer" card; we'd definitely sign up if we lived close by!

It's the go-to place for real ice cream - always a special treat! Don't be put off by long lines; they go very quickly, so your wait is usually no more than 15 or 20 minutes (and often less). And they will give you samples of the ice cream to help you decide!
