A typical 50's style diner specializing in burgers and such. The food and service was good. I enjoyed a very good burger and fries along with a nice cold beer.

I'm in Reno every year and for whatever reason I keep winding up at this place on a late night food craving even though the food is never good and the place is dirty. Eventually ended up with food positioning my most recent visit from a Club Sandwich of all things, needless to say I will not be back.

We ate here twice during our stay. We got breakfast on a busy Saturday. Our server was decent and the food was very yummy, a little overpriced. Breakfast was good (especially the $5.99 steak and eggs). Shakes are from a machine (yuk!) and the burgers are just OK.

From the epic neon outside to the reeded glass and copious neon inside, this is a true diner. Sit at the counter to watch the show in the kitchen and service station. Awesome burgers, fries, breakfast...glad I'm staying close!

Maybe it had been too long of a day, but the restaurant and staff seemed tired and worn out by 9 pm on a saturday night. Food not so good either.

Mel's was perfect for what it was. 50's diner food with excellent service! We stopped in on our drive home from Vegas for a quick meal. If we lived closer, we would go there frequently.

I love this place! Think Richie Cunningham!! Get your old H.S. team jackets out and enjoy...there's a casino entrance right outside the door!
