We have been there many times and there is never a doubt that the evening will be terrific, great food, terrific staff. It's just like being in Dingle...it does'nt get any better.

You know a place is good when you walk in and its always packed. That is the case with the Salt Hill Pub. We were in town on business and had the Salt Hill Pub recommended to us. The atmosphere of the place is just plain cool and really makes the experience fantastic. The food was not only a good... More

Salt Hill is what Murphys on the Green was a decade ago. Warm, Great Food, Reasonably Priced and a great place to bring a family. The only negative is service can be slow. Although much of that is related to the fact that the place is usually packed - a good sign.

I watched the Olympics at the Pub this summer, escaping from my office late afternoons to catch the competitions and races, and holding meeting (conveniently) at the Pub when the schedule (Olympic schedule, not business schedule!) required. Great service, friendly faces, a wide array of drafts poured with perfection, testing the physical laws of surface tension. The food is hearty... More

The Salt Hill Pub is a casual and fun place to eat and socialize. It has the convivial feeling of a local establishment that appeals to all types and ages and is truly reminiscent of the pubs I have visited in Ireland. It is usual to find locals as well as Dartmouth students dining in this establishment and there is... More

Went to eat here a couple times and picked up food from here a couple times while visiting NH. The chicken wings are supposed to be great, per my son-in-law, and the burgers are quite good too. I even had fish and chips there and wasn't disappointed. The draw is the beer, and they have tons of different kinds. I... More

The Hanover location is noisy compared to the Lebanon Salt Hill. On the other hand, the outside dining option is lovely in the summer and early fall. Burgers are good, hummus platter is a favorite.

This is New England pot roast country. The prices are reasonable, the servings are huge, and the atmosphere is just regular folks enjoying a night out. Servers are attentive, but not overly intrusive. There are two pubs in this area, the best one located in Newport, NH.
