The best bar in Hanover!! The bartenders are great, and the clientele always interesting and often friendly.

I enjoy going here for lunch when my wife and I are in town. The service is good. the fries that are served with the mussels are outstanding. If you add a $2. PBR draft you have a great meal at a reasonable price.
I bring clients here for a nice quiet lunch from time to time, recommend the french dip and the chef salad. Had never been for dinner until recently. Dining room was full so we sat at a table in the bar area. Great beer selection, young woman who waited on us was very professional. Food was a great surprise, creative...

This place works hard to try to look like it's "in." Can be crowded. Seems to me there's more effort into having clever dishes with trendy menuese than food that is actually great. Popular place, but may just be the herd effect. I think they could do a better job by cooling it a bit on trying to do trendy...

We went here, Pine, and Molly's while visiting Dartmouth. I have nothing negative to say about Canoe Club. Enjoyed the cheese plate and dessert, entrees were very good.
Entrees are pricey, but a glass of wine, salad and splitting the cheese plate with a good friend makes for a lovely light meal. The host was most gracious and stopped by to chat or recommend a place to go in South Beach.
We went there for dinner. The food was just mediocre for the price. Pad Thai with chicken was terrible. Service was nothing to rave about. Their mark up on wine is too much. For those like us who are not fanatic about dinners and the likes, Canoe Club is a good alternative for lunch. The menu is varied and offers original dishes sized for lunch. We go there frequently and the cuisine is consistently on the good side. The decor is warm and pleasant with a good service.
Very comfortable yet elegant decor based on the theme. Very warm atmosphere including the direct, personal attention of the owner, good service and an interesting menu with good portions. Excellent, value-based wine collection including by the glass. Overall, we had a very relaxing and pleasurable evening including the soothing celtic music and excellent vocals. Strongly recommended/
Great place for lunch and dinner, or relax at the bar and take in the ambiance of a traditional canoe club. Extensive menu with daily specials, attentive service, generous portions. Great wine list and selection of beer and ale, including microbrews. Music in the evening is just right, not a distraction. Request a table by the front window and watch...
