The food at Helling's Slopeside is excellent. We've been here at least a half dozen times and have never been disappointed. Every once in a while the staff gets a little flustered but when a mistake is made they are eager to fix and eager to please. (Mistakes rarely happen, though). The quality of the goods used to make their... More

Great food - LOVE the garlic chicken. Family owned. Good pricing. They had a small band playing that evening. Nice atmosphere.

We've been here twice now and both times the food has been outstanding. The service could use a little tweaking like when you request none of one thing but extra of something else and they get it backwards. Worse things could happen though and other then that the service is good. The attractive salad comes to you chilled as it... More

At the base of Pat's Peak, this is a tastefully decorated and tasty restaurant! We enjoyed it very much while visiting the local college! Shall I just say that I would be tempted to make the three hour roadtrip again just to eat the steak and linginie with creamy gorgonzonla cheese sauce!! Definitely a must try! If you sit up... More

I would agree this is one of the best places to eat in Henniker. Colby Hill is probably better but that's more of a special occasion or romantic place, while Helling's is better for family and friends getting together. It's also a lot less expensive then the Inn. Helling's Pot roast is excellent, ask for extra gravy, it's a huge... More

Menu had a lot of options, service was good. Chowder was excellent. It was a nice spot to catch up with old friends. I would go back.

Helling's is the place we go when we want to dress very causally, relax and have a good meal. They have a good variety of food that seems home cooked. The atmosphere is welcoming and you feel at home when you walk in. The prices are reasonable and the drinks are good size.

My wife and I were looking for a new restaurant to try last Friday and it was suggested to me from someone at work that we should try this place across from Pats Peak. As we pulled up to the front of the restaurant we noticed the outside was decorated with skiis hanging by the front door as if people... More

We ate at Hellings last weekend, which is off season (meaning the ski area across the street isn't open). When we arrived, we stood in the entryway (which is really a doorway to the bar area) for a good 5 minutes before the hostess came to greet us. Granted, the bartender had looked up at us & said someone would... More

Although we came well before the ski season, we had stumbled onto this place for a birthday celebration. My mom in law turned 80, and we needed a place to have a birthday party for 3 of us. We hired a barbershop quartet, and were surprised by the owner's mom, who baked a cake for us! The other consumers clapped... More
