A friend told us to try this restaurant which was a short drive from the shopping areas. So glad we did. Our family of 4 each ordered something different and we were all pleased. Try the sampler of their brews. All were superb!

I've Eaten @ Many Smoke Houses and this Restaurant isnt 1 !! I Wanted Smoke Turkey, the only thing they had was a Wrap. I Could of got the Same Thing @ Hannafords. Thin, like Cold Cuts! Very Disapponted, their Micro Brews are Great Though! ( Stick with the Beer, Guys )

We always dine at Moat when in the valley. Considerate hosts, a menu for everyone, delightful staff and plenty of brews. The porch is a favorite spot whether solo or as a couple. Corn & crab bisque, Greek salad with chicken & large Hoffman Weiss is a favorite meal.

My wife and I arrived around 7pm and sat in the porch. We decided to split the BBQ Combo, with a half rack of ribs, quarter chicken and pulled pork along with Hush Puppies as an appetizer. My wife and I both had the smoked salmon which was excellent and not often served in the northeast. I had the home brewed blueberry beer which wasn't as strongly flavored as other blueberry beers I have had, my wife's peach margarita was excellent. Service was good and friendly. Well worth going and I'm sure we will go back.

Heard some good things about this restaurant. When we arrived, we were seated in the porch area, right by the hostess station, even though we wanted to be in the Pub or diningroom area. Apps were just average as were the entrees. Can't say whether it was the food or not, but my wife was quite ill later that night.... More

The Moat is always on our "must stop' list. I'm not a big beer drinker, so enough said there. I go for the food. It's plentiful and delicious, with some interesting twists on the menu, which is extensive! We decided to try The Moat after a suggestion was made by our snowmobiling guide. Great atmosphere, great service and excellent food. When we are in the are again we will be sure to visit. Definitely worth the visit.
