As an ex restaurateur and French-Australian chef with some 45 years experience, I really enjoyed this place not because it's anything really out of la boîte gastronomically, but because it has that wonderful comforting patina, unpretentious atmosphere and basic cuisine of classic-era French Bistro, and well crafted food. Sip is a welcome change in a land where everything culinary is... More

If you have your dose of Exotic food and you miss your EU values (I don't understand why it happen except if you are not at ease here), visit SIP. Bistros decoration with very good standards. Wine list is surprisingly wide, but only few are by the glass. They should invest in a wine keeper that we find in some EU... More

We arrived at Sip in Seminyak for dinner on 8/5/13.From the moment we entered we were looked after by Sip's very professional staff. We decided to have the 'stimulus' set menu of three courses for 195,000rp or $19.50 au.I had the seafood terrine ,the chicken and the pear tart.my husband had the French onion soup, steak and pear tart. All delicious and the... Sip has an extensive, well-chosen and expensive wine list. Disappointingly only a handful of the wines are available by the glass, and these are good, but pricey. Nevertheless if you visit just for the wine, and money isn't an object you won't be disappointed. The food is another matter, and representative of France only in the lack of attention to... More

this was superb old style French cooking at it's best, no pretty little plates with very little sustenance here. To start the staff were the best trained we have encountered in Asia, and lovely as well. The food was just awesome, clean flavours, beautifully balanced, and you could not leave here hungry. This has to be our Bali favourite.

We have been here a few times over the years, the food is excellent. We had french onion soup, salmon belinis, duck, sausage ala parisienne, baked alaska, strawberry mille-feuille. ies and puff pastry. All excellent plus an extensive wine list if you can afford it. Well worth a visit and to be honest better bang for your buck than Kudeta/Potatoehead... More

There is no WOW at Sip! The setting is pleasant, staff are courteous, food is reasonable, but you really don't get a " bang for your buck!". This is a French bistro-style restaurant with a large menu but it just doesn't hit the mark in being a fine dining experience. Price wise, the alcohol pushes the drinks side to equal... More

Their set lunches at about 75k rupiah are simply superb. My gosh, we had 2 absolutely stunning appetizers with Salmon raviolis in rich butter and Pate with pickle. Our mains were even better, Mahi Mahi with saffron rice and the most delicious, melt-in-your-mouth hamburger steak I have ever had. Free flow servings of bread as any good eatery should. They served... More

We had heard so much about this restaurant and took advantage of the lunch special menu. The food was absolutely wonderful, great presentation, service, reasonable price for wine and incredible value. Do yourself a favour and go for lunch if you can't get a nighttime booking.

We tried SIP for dinner, the atmosphere is very good. seating arrangements are comfortable and lighting adds romance to the place. Food is very good we tried the set menus, I had the chicken menu, and my wife had the steak menu. The French onion soup is one of the tastiest I have ever had. The dessert are very good.... More
