Stopped in here around 8:30 PM for takeout as we were staying at a nearby hotel. Place was still pretty crowded but that didn't prove any issue other than finding parking in the busy shopping center where they're located. Ok, growing up with Ben's in your home town you get spoiled and nothing comes close to it on long island ,Nothing!. However ,working In the city ,has us chowing down at Katz's and Carnegie deli's.. Ben's deli pastrami is the best on long island , Katz's is the best on the Planet! bens corned beef is just ok ....

Ben's used to be THE place to go for Deli on the Island. What happened? I had the "Lean" brisket. It was chock full of fat, and very tough to eat. What a severe disappointment.

Ben's really do make good pastrami, brisket, cole slaw and homemade pickles without heading to Manhattan for your satisfaction. The seating is comfortable with plenty of parking outside(it's a typical long island shopping plaza outside). I always come here for my sandwich fix of tasty meats.
