The new space is wonderful: typically funky but clean and spiffy.Really a polished look compared to how it was on John St. And the food is terrific. More choices on the menu; the prices are stil so reasonable, And Gabriel has a special touch inthe kitchen. Can't understand why someone grumbled but rest assured, you'll ear here to satisfaction and... More

What I gather from the list of reviews is that previous reviews were before the move and some things have changed. Have to say I always felt the same about Gabriels food - especially croissants and breakfast. Totally delicious. In an effort to respond to the changes of the stockade area they have changed some aspects of their vision/menu. This... More

Thank you so much for your review, we really appreciate feedback (good and bad). I would just like to let you know that we do still have the Huevos Rancheros on our menu. Also, although we do not have the Latin Combo, we now have the Colombian Platter that is very similar (rice, beans, plantains...) except with more food! It... More

The previous reviewer apparently prefers something along the lines of Appleby's. Gabriel's is all about FOOD...real food. There are very few places anywhere that can make this claim. The croissants and the scones are superb. Gabriel's entree dishes are also special, without parallel. Go there for the food.

I don't like to write bad reviews in general but after seeing all the 5 star reviews I had to try it out , first of all the place looks dumpy on the outside and it sure is dumpy on the inside , food was ok kk .. Service. Friendly. But come on 5 star. Excellent. One of the best... More

Loved the eclectic nature of this place (not fancy, but REAL) - we were the first customers the morning we dropped by and we snagged the great table in the window to look out on Kingston and eat huevos rancheros and breakfast burritos. Both were top-notch. The coffee exceeded our expectations and the complimentary scone Gabriel gifted us with tasted... More

Gabriel's is most definitely my favorite restaurant in Kingston. I love the huevos rancheros and the croissants are probably the best I have tasted in America. Cute decor, with what seems to be a rotating photography exhibition, and the staff is personable and efficient. Very competitively priced as well!

We went here today passing through after having read about it on the Trip Advisor app. We were not disappointed. It's an unobtrusive place, quite simple decor, rustic: my husband said it reminded him of an eatery in Uruguay where we once travelled, and indeed, the cook appears to be Latin American. All the food we ordered had this totally... More

This place is clearly being reviewed by family members or friends of the owner. This place is a joke. I ordered the cowboy skillet which was stated in the menu of egg over homefries and sautéed onions. The egg covered with Chedder and grilled chicken. When I received the meal, I noticed it wasnt homefries under my egg but French... More

Went to Gabriels to check out their croissants that I have heard so many amazing raves about, only to find out that this time of year they are available weekends only. So I tried the empanadas instead... talk about melt-in-your-mouth fabulous! Best I have ever tasted anywhere...judging from the menu I could be very happy there! I can't wait to... More

Gabriel's is well loved for breakfast & lunch by many & it's easy to understand why. Their scones, empanadas, juevos rancheros, & fresh hot croissants @ the Saturday farmers' market are spectacular, just to name a few. What a lot of people don't know is that on Friday & Saturday they serve dinner. We enjoy it so much as it... More
