Suggested by a friend, so we gave it a shot. What a really neat find. Small and cozy, with a four seat bar, outdoor dining and a farmhouse feel. It's actually part of a hotel, which I forget the name - but right in town. The field green salad was fresh and had the appropriate amount of dressing. I had... More

This relatively small, low key restaurant uses the best local ingredients to impressive ends. Every course of my meal - a grilled asparagus salad, roast lamb on a bed of polenta and artichoke hearts, and apple strudel - was interestingly flavored and perfectly prepared. Service was relaxed but attentive.

Formal, somewhat cooler atmosphere (I prefer a warmer, cozier ambiance) but once the food arrives that is totally forgotten. Food is amazing. If you want a warmer ambiance, try Manna Dew, almost right across the street - their food is less gastronomically perfect, but still excellent. I guess we tend to go to Manna Dew more often because it is... More

The menu makes a big point of local sourcing. Some of started with Blue Point oysters, 1/2 doz.for $13; very reasonable. Three of us had an unusual chicken dish recommended by the server; it was white "Herontown Farm" chicken rolled in cabbage with Black Winter Truffles, Potato Puree, & Natural Jus and sliced, $26. A bit dry and lacking in... More

The food was spectacular, some of the finest that I have ever eaten. The chef is certainly talented. It is a treat to see such artistry applied to food. The atmosphere is somehow laid back and elegant at the same time.

The Number 9 is our favorite restaurant in the area. The service is great, food is spectacular, and they have an eccelctic menu that changes by season. The chef is really creative but classical, and there is something to whet anyone's appetite. My wife particularly likes the soufflé desserts that change by season as well. The setting is also warm... This was our second visit and even better than the first. Loved the pork belly, very flavorful. The fluke crudo was also wonderful. A very enjoyable night.
