If you are a history buff, nothing beats going to the Beekman Arms for a meal or just a beer. They say it's the oldest Inn in America - and it has the history and charm to prove it. Especially when you sit at the bar in the old tavern portion of the Inn - it oozes history. But if... More

The food has changed over the years; I suppose because the chefs change. I don't think it has ever been bad: just various degrees of good. An age old problem at the restaurant is extraordinarily slow service. Rhinebeck itself has morphed into a tourist stop, and restaurants come and go. There's a lot more nouveau cuisine than good old American... More

We booked a Saturday evening reservation for 6 people at 5:30 pm. My two kids were with us and figured an early reservation would be best. The food was great but the service was SLOW. We were there over 2 1/2 hours. The offered to bring the kids food early but then the kids were done before we got our... More

The Beekman Arms is worth the visit as a historic landmark. The fact that 11 US Presidents have stayed there over the years is amazing. Anyway, ask to see the room that George Washington stayed in. However, their brunch buffet lacked little to be desired for the price. The food was not regularly replenished, the meat was cold and fatty,... More

My friend took me to this place right after I stepped off the train. My first time visiting the area and she knew how to start it off properly! A lovely egg white omelet with goat cheese and other deliciousness involved. Oddly enough, I can't find it on their menu on the website or I'd list it by name. Before... More

Our server was wonderful. She was extremely friendly and helpful. We were a group of 8 and they had something for everyone on the menu. Salmon was cooked to perfection. French onion soup was flavorful and seasoned well. Prime rib was available since it was a Saturday night. My husband's favorite. Not too fatty, and cooked to the temperature that... More

Once again my family and I brought my Nanny to the Easter Buffet at the historic Beekman Arms. We are never disappointed! There is always plenty to eat with an ideal balance of traditional cuisine and yummy treats. We especially enjoyed the Salmon. You can't help but feel at home in the traditional setting that was tastefully decorated for the... More

What a gem in historic Rheinbeck, NY. The staff was courteous and friendly. The corned beef Reuben and turkey club were to die for. Don't pass this up on your journey thru the Hudson valley.

We have been going to the Beekman Arms for years to enjoy light pub meals at the wonderful tavern and garden room. We decided this year to go as a family to the Easter Buffet and I would have to say that the food and atmosphere was a huge disappointment. The quality was truly poor; really like a basic catering... The Tavern at the Beekman Arms is a lovely place to dine, especially the greenhouse, even on a cold March day. Having dined here fairly often, I typically look forward to the Cobb salad (minus the blue cheese). Much to my surprise, the Cobb salad that I had today was missing the chicken and the ham. Not that I couldn't... More
