We are kind of people that check the place on the internet rather than call. We knew that the menu is updated every day and relied on the information on the restaurant's website, especially that the hours of operation on Sunday were supposed to be Noon-8 pm. Also we found out that it takes at least 30 minutes to get... More

This is my favorite restaurant in town. Their food is superb, they're super nice, and they have a very solid record of giving back to the community. The downside is the time it takes to make such good food- be prepared to wait at least 30 minutes. Call ahead or go plan a round of putt putt golf- it's included.

Was very intriqued when this restaurant opened. The newspaper ran an article detailing the menu and some history. I remember the chef being quoted as saying "A rising tide lifts all ships". I already knew I would like the food. The food is amazing. The pork schnitzel sandwich was a revelation. A remarkable flavor I had never experienced. I have... More

Easily the best place to eat in the Adirondacks and worth the drive if you're not right in Saranac Lake.

Had a lovely goat burger with feta, the most amazing corned beef, and truly superb onion rings and hush puppies. So glad we read the news articles and knew to call ahead, then show up. There's enough seating to sit and eat n' meet, which we hadn't expected, but was a nice surprise. Wish we'd stocked up on local meats... More

Awesome food! So flavorful and worth the wait. Most of the time we'll order ahead for things to go but every now and then we'll get a little group together and relax for a couple hours in the cozy atmosphere ( or outdoor deck in summer) but you have to arrive before you're too hungry.

Yes, this little "hole-in-the-wall" provides the best food south of Montreal. This is truly fabulous cooking. How did this wonderful chef end up here? Don't ask: I believe in miracles. Terrific diversity of food: innovative, yummy soups; many kinds of burgers and sandwiches; a very elaborate seafood menu (you didn't expect frog's legs in the mountains, did you?); and much... More

I had the best reuben ever here. Fresh, perfect amount of sauce, slaw and meat and on delicious toasted rye bread. Also, had onion rings that were light and fluffy, not heavy and greasy. Opted to try something new and ordered plantain dumplings. Soooo good, unique and perfect. Not a place to go or call if you are in a... More

We read about "Eat and Meet" in the December 2011 issue of ADK Life magazine. This inspired us to Google it for more information. It is considered mainly a take-out restaurant, but does have a few tables and chairs crammed in amongst all the food storage. The available seating area is mainly the food storage area. We loved the charm... More
