Food was very plain and not inexpensive. Took a long time to get food to the table and there was only 6 tables of customers. Much better Italian restaurants on Salina St than this for the same amount of money!
This is a place that's definitely living off of their reputation. Maybe they were good at one time; they're not anymore. The atmosphere inside is completely stifling. I felt like I was eating in someone's worn down basement. The chairs and tables are ancient, and the waitstaff shouts over your head like you're not even there. And that's before the...

Busy place on the bad side of town. I was not impressed by the atmosphere, cleanliness or seating. I was further disappointed when my chicken caccitore came w/whole pieces of chicken bones & all. How ladylike to have to debone chicken covered in sauce. :( not a place I will be revisiting.

I have been a patron of Aunt Josie's for about 10 years now. It is very unfortunate that our favorite waitress Frannie isn't there as much as she use to be. My wife and I love her smile and genuine happiness. We love the food but we think we love it so much because Frannie delivers it to us with...

We had been going to Aunt Josies for 38 years, each year on our anniversary, and at other times too. This year we went, were seated timely, ordered and received drinks from a waitress who obviously did not wish to be there. I've seen this waitress there many times, but never had the disspleasure of dealing with her.
Every year...

Reminds me of the little italian restauranmts my dad used...
