Our waitress was great and very attentive. The BBQ and Cheese Burger tasted great. Their desserts are really good. Actually the desserts were the favorite part of our meal.

The menu is HUGE, but it's because it's not fresh and obviously all frozen...nothing you can't get at Applebee's. The service was bad, 10 minutes to get a cold chai tea, though all our server was doing was gossiping loudly. Our guests salad came out about ten minutes before our burgers came out.

Always open, it seems, and ready to feed you. Lots of options on the menu(s). Yes, pleural since they also serve from The Lodge Expresso Bar and Eatery, to take your pick or from both. Daytime cooks offer good quick food then evening Chef(s) really lay out the spread, so to speak. They also have daily specials, one my wife... More

Banner Elk Cafe is on my top 5 burgers of all time...and I have had a lot of burgers. Going to school at Less-McRae, the cafe was my spot to go as a local at that time. Now my wife and daughter love to go when we are in town. Les has done well with this place and hope to... More

My wife and I were touring the area and stopped here for lunch. Nothing fancy, but we had a couple sandwiches that just hit the spot. Interesting little town and it was a pleasant find. The waiter went out of his way to be helpful with some directions advice, too.

We enjoyed a dinner out in Banner Elk here during our recent stay. We usually travel outside of Banner Elk to eat, but we decided to stay in town and enjoy a local spot. Our server was excellent. She really attended to our table well, and anticipated our needs for extra napkins, refills, etc. We ate with our toddler who... More

The cafe has nice service although my waitress went to the cooler to look for my zinfandel wine, not knowing it was a red. The food was nothing extraordinary but nicely made and enjoyable. I would go again. You get what you pay for!

Great food and good prices. Burgers are good but the cheese steak sub is the best. Great with a Blowing Rock Ale!

The atmosphere here is really "blue ridge mountain" like and the food is great. The service is quick and its a nice perk to have a cafe right up stairs. I recommend this place if you are wondering where to eat in banner elk. Delicious steak and mashed potatoes.

Banner Elk Cafe and Lodge is a fun place to eat. The location is terrific in the shadows of Beech, Sugar, and Grandfather Mountains. You can order from two kitchens and the wait staff is quite attentive. We particularly enjoy sitting outside and listening to the live music. Not many restaurants provide live music, and the music is definitely a... More
