When we want a nice meal in a upscale setting, LA Purchase is the place. A fixture in Banner Elk, Chef Pat and wife Laurie, have gained a reputation amoung the fine dining crowd that can't be beat.

Had the Oscar filet and it was unreal! The whole meal was cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. We also had the lamb shank and crab cake both were delicious. If you are in the area make sure you come here!!

We really enjoyed the restaurant and the attention to detail with the crisp white table cloths and the attention that the staff paid to the clients. Our meal was excellent and we had one of the best waitresses we've ever had. She was more than helpful and polite. Would definitely go back and highly recommend.

The service here was very good. The food was excellent! I had a beef tenderloin with a red wine reduction that almost literally melted in my mouth! Only for the rich and famous. If you want to be seen go here. Over priced and not that good. Very noisy and small.

The service was exceptionally good! and the food was excellent! Three of us had seafood and one had a steak. Everyone at the table raved about how good everything was. We would definitely go back again when in Banner Elk and highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys fine dining.

A lovely time was had by all. We celebrated a birthday here and requested a special cake I was concerned about pleasing our guests.I should have known better! What a wonderful time, with just the right amount of service and food so beautiful I almost couldn't eat! We cant wait to return.
