Great Experience! Wonderful flavor combinations and excellent atmosphere. I had a salad with the lemon basil vinaigrette ( it was delicious). I had salmon for my entree. It was cooked perfect. It was tender and juicy. I had pomegranate creme brule for dessert ( yes pomegranate). I was scared to try it, but it was delicious. The flavor was very... More

We came in off the Blue Ridge Parkway into the town of Blowing Rock which we had never visited before. We started to look for restaurants in Trip Advisor and settled on Best Cellar based on the reviews. We clicked the link for the menu but found only wines. We went anyway based on the reviews. It turned out that... More

As usual, the Best Cellar did not disappoint. Both food and wine were great. The only blip was the extended time it took to chill a chardonnay selected from the reserve wine list. They should probably have some chilled on hand.

This is a wonderful restaurant . The atmosphere is great. The food is excellent, a little slow in coming, but worth the wait. Our waitress was top notch. It is listed as upscale casual dining so you can dress comfy. We treated ourselves to an anniversary dinner here and it was absolutely wonderful. It's not cheap but you will not walk away... More

We go to Blowing Rock frequently. The Best Cellar is fantastic! Last New Year's we stayed at the Ragged Inn which is also fantastic (location of the Best Cellar). This is 5 Star.

We are locals who made a last minute dining reservation for a Friday night. Food and service were wonderful as usual and expected. Oysters Rockefeller, Lamb Chops and Scallops were all great. Can't go wrong here-always good, always great service, and glad they can accommodate weekend reservations last minute during the off-seasons.

After dissing this restaurant previously, I went because I had guests, and this was one of a couple of nice restaurants actually open in the winter on a Sunday night in Blowing Rock. The prices are still rather high, but this trip I got what I paid for. We shared a seafood sampler that was excellent. I'm usually wary of... More

Years ago I had a melt in your mouth to die for meal in the old location prior to the fire. I'd not gotten around to dining in their "new" location in the Inn at Ragged Gardens although I often have enjoyed their jazz Fridays in their beautiful gardens in summer. Anyway, now that I've finally come for dinner, I... More

My husband and I dined at the Best Cellar Restaurant in mid-January, while on our stay near Blowing Rock. Our server was sweet, professional and served us with an ease that created a wonderful dining experience even before the food came to the table! My husband had the special rack of lamb, and I had the Chicken Marsala. Both were... More
