For anyone looking for a good Maine lobster dinner this is your place!!! We drove a half hour from Cary with fingers crossed that Squids would be at least half way decent. I love when my expectations are far exceeded!! The service was great (server: Ian), and the food was awesome....the best boiled lobster dinner we've had in a long... More

We don't get here often, and have always enjoyed it, but when we were there this past Saturday evening, it seemed there wasn't much choice, just the usual fish dishes they've been fixing for years. I did have a fantastic Moroccan salad, and wish I'd just added shrimp to it instead of also ordering a shrimp basket, which had some... More

We've lived in the area for over 20 years and finally made it to Squids. The food was overpriced for the quality but good. The decor is dated. The service was okay. Friends say the quality has declined over the years. Probably won't go back.

We had a mini-family reunion here, and they were super about arranging seating for our group! The food was, always, delicious, and the service excellent. It was decidedly warm inside - you don't expect to need air conditioning in January even in North Carolina - but they were quick to turn on the AC and get everyone comfortable. We will... More

And I don't even eat seafood. They also other choices and have vegetarian and vegan dishes. Desserts are also great.

I don't eat seafood - but have to go to Squids often since it is the family's favorite spot - so can't comment on the seafood, but I always have the steak and it is great. The only problem is if you don't eat seafood, you are pretty much limited to 2 dishes - steak or chicken fra diavalo. But... More

It's Friday in the Lenten season so we tried this restaurant. On person in our party enjoyed a "Betty White" with her raw oysters, lobster bisque (which was not overly creamy but still quite good) and a salad. Another person in the party had the crab cakes dinner and was very pleased--enjoyed them tremendously. I had the horseradish encrusted tilapia... More

Solid local place to eat. I had the 1lb snow crab legs, which were fresh and only about $16--which is a pretty good price for 1lb. They only have mashed potatoes on the menu, I prefer a baked potato and when I asked if they had any they said no. The hush puppies were okay and average, but the bread... More

My husband and I had the fried oyster platter which had a dozen oysters with cole slaw, potatoes and all the hush puppies we could eat. Quality of the food was very good and the price was reasonable. I would recommend this place to anyone who likes seafood.
